something might be happening in R&D
The Nokia Technopolis Innovation Mill will take ideas and innovations that are no longer required by Nokia and make them available to companies across Finland who may be able to turn them into world-class products and services. The idea is to match ideas with businesses that can make them happen.
This shocked be in a good way this morning. The whole thing is here to read. It does indeed sound too good to be true. I think there’s long been a feeling of something happening to the way people and companies do business. Digital technology is one reason behind it, and quite frankly I think the economic punch in the face is another. At least the fact that it’s sparked good discussions about corporate responsibility, organizations of the future (especially Umair Haque’s thinking). The Nokia initiative really feels like a real life example of all of this. A new form, and manifestation, of openness, sharing, strive for greater good and over all proactive thinking. New ways of thinking. A collective way of thinking in a, still, competitive market place.
