Today’s monday. It’s also the right time to venture out to the sales that are going on everywhere. Being not so enthusiastic about big crowds of people, all looking for a great bargain, it’s a great accomplishment on my behalf - coming home with a bag full of stuff without having spent a lot of money at all. 2 t-shirts (the cheapest for free) and a pair of cheap monday jeans. A pair of cheap jeans, from a brand called cheap monday, from a store called weekdays, on a weekday called monday.

I like Cheap monday and the fact that they have become somewhat of a real fashion brand internationally too, but still not retailing for a very high price (I think), but it feels In a way that they easily could. I got mine for half price. Which means 20 bucks or so.

I just now leaned that the logo is meant to make you reflect over Christianity and the evil it spreads. I hear that. Despite working with brands every day, I’m not much of a brand fanatic. However, I do really feel for brands that do good, or at least have an original idea and philosophy. Like my simple shoes for example. Stellar shoes I must say.

Kind of funny that I also picked up a t-shirt today. Objectified, about industrial design. That’s another example of products/ideas/brands that I support. Independent, up-coming ones. An independent film maker in this case.

Tonight I’m going to Glen Miller Café to listen to and support some jazz band by paying the hefty fee of 20 SEK, around 2 dollars and 50 cents. Minimum. I don’t think there’s an upper limit. I’ve never tried to find out. If the band get a piece of the beer money, I’ll definitely contribute with more whether I like it or not.
